Each registered voter in this state
has the right to:
- Vote and have his or her vote
accurately counted
- Cast a vote if he or she is in
line when the polls are closing
- Ask for and receive assistance in
voting
- Receive up to two replacement
ballots if he or she makes a mistake prior to ballots being
cast.
- Receive an explanation if his or
her registration is in question.
- Cast a provisional ballot if his
or her registration is in question.
- Prove his or her identification by
signing an affidavit if election officials doubt voter's
identity.
- Receive written instructions to us
when voting and, upon request, oral instructions in voting from
an elections officer.
- Vote free from coercion or
intimidation by election officials or any other person.
- Vote on a voting system that is in
working condition and that allows votes to be accurately cast.
Each registered Florida voter has the
responsibility to:
- Study and know candidates and
issues.
- Keep his or her address current.
- Know his or her precinct and its
hours of operations.
- Bring proper identification to the
polling station.
- Know how to operate voting
equipment properly.
- Treat precinct workers with
courtesy.
- Respect the privacy of other
voters.
- Report problems or violations of
election law.
- Ask questions when confused.
- Check his or her completed ballot
for accuracy.
